Art Activity Day – Make a Glass Kite

Celebrate Spring’s arrival by making a glass kite. Projects are $15 each. Drop in anytime between 10am and 1pm. All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

 Tiger Elective Adventure: Stories in Shapes

  1. Visit an art gallery or museum.
  2. Look closely at pictures of some art, decide what you like and share your ideas.
  3. Create a piece of art on paper, poster board, or canvas.
  4. Draw or create an art piece using shapes.

 Wolf Elective Adventure: Collections & Hobbies     

3A.   Visit a show or museum that displays different collections or models.

Lions, Bears and Webelos are also welcome to register.

Appropriate for all ages.  Scouts must be accompanied by leaders and/or parent chaperones. Adult/ scout ratios required by the BSA are required for all clinics. (Adults may participate for the same fee if space allows. Please call in advance.)

Part Sheet Platters Session 1 and Session 2

Session 1 on Thursday, March 12th from 5:30-7:30pm 
Session 2 is Saturday, March 14th from 10am-1pm

Create your own custom-designed sheet of glass to use in a fusing project. In Part 1 of this class, students will learn several techniques using frit, stringers, rubber stamping with mica and enamels, and glass powders to design a unique sheet of glass.  The sheets are called part sheets because they will be cut up and incorporated into a finished work in Part 2 of this class. Students will create their own custom designed glass in Part 1, and then use it in a fused dish in Part 2 of this class. All experience levels welcome. Sara Rezin, Instructor
